Ele Lembra partners with organizations in fundraisers for the purpose of providing “children without parents” assistance as they age out of government sponsored institutions to begin life on their own. Statistics for this demographic are overwhelmingly bad and there is little to help them, particularly in former Soviet states. Upon aging out of orphanages, as early as fifteen, sixty percent of the girls turn to prostitution to support themselves. Seventy percent of the boys become hardened criminals. Roughly forty percent are unemployed. A third are homeless. About ten percent of them commit suicide the first year out of the orphanage. Only one out of ten become a contributing member of society
Ele Lembra has been established specifically to improve these statistics by offering assistance with higher education, job skills, life skills, and job placement for youth as they prepare to age out of orphanages.
Please consider partnering with Ele Lembra as you are looking for worthy fund raisers.
