Rabbi Meir Koslovsky gave Program Chance access to the private Jewish school and all of its resources for an after school program to assist in the education of orphans and other disadvantaged eleventh and twelfth graders, to prepare them for continuing education. Program Chance’s program is equal opportunity, and includes students regardless of gender, race or religion. Access to the school and all of its resources have been provided to Program Chance at no cost.

Simmons claimed that while he knew the Rabbi was generous, he didn’t really know what to expect when he met him. The American was immediately put at ease when the Rabbi jokingly suggested that he might trade his own hat for Simmons’ cowboy hat.

The two men discussed Program Chance and the amazing opportunity that is being provided to youth so that they will be able to have the ability to provide for their own children, one day, rather than continuing what is so often a generational cycle of orphanage life.
